Preflight procedures

Hi Guys,I'm drawing up some cockpit procedural flows for the 747 for my VA, and would like to hear what various approaches people take to this task, both in the real world and in the sim.For example I'm on the flight deck exactly 30 minutes prior to pushback to get things ready to go. I follow a countdown-based schedule where the various pre-start actions and rituals have to be completed by a certain point on the clock. Plus I have the option in my procedures at -10 minutes and -5 minutes to enact a delay in pushback if things aren't running on schedule.So how do you do it? As much detail as possible please! RW flight crew, your input here would be greatly appreciated.Cheers
