Your thoughts on update

Featured Replies

Well I've installed the update after checking the PMDG site every 10 seconds for the last couple of days, as opposed to 10 minutes every other day. As my computer was installing it I was dancing around the house with excitement, as someone like me does. So what are my thoughts? I am quite impressed with the noticable new features, such as upper EICAS warning and caution signs and auto-pilot siren to name a few. But I guess SU2 fell short of my high expectations. My hopes were set on performance increase which I find hard to tell whether there is any improvement (I think slight). Basically I'm measuring the Queen against LDS767 which from my perspective has on average 5fps more then the Queen. However, the Queen's VC is more advanced, more complex and arguably more beutiful, suffice to say the Queen would require a meaner rig. Nevertheless, the LDS 767 is fine bird to fly, and is comparatively more frame rate friendly (on my machine anyway). I still think the Queen is an amazing and ejoyable aircraft to fly, but the perforance factor is an important one in my books. I wanted to label the Queen as the greatest ever aircraft add-on of all time, but when there are other great add-ons of the same era and similar standard which perform with more ease, it raises many questions. Now maybe if I had a high end system I would be coming from a different perspective, but I dont. Furthermore, my machine is above the "for the best performance" system requirements. I know many of you would disagree with my opinion so thats why I want to hear them. CheersTristan
