Hi,After applying the 1.10 patch I can almost not hear anything from the engines even at full thrust during t/o. Is it meant to be like this or do I have a problem here with my setup?The exterior engine sounds however are great!

Check your engine FS volume settings. You can adjust them using that.The volumes have been adjusted for the engines to be less audible during taxi, while takeoff power has not been adjusted.

Hi Mark,I already checked the FS volume settings and also tried setting the volume for engine sounds to 100% but still no difference. Then I had a look in the sound.cfg file and noticed some of the files that file points out seem to be missing.I'll try a full reinstall of the 747 incl the new patch and see if that solves the problem - will let you know the outcome.

Marc,I did a full reinstall of the 747 and now all the sounds work as they should :-)One other thing though related to the sounds, sometimes there is this very crackling, loud and strange sound all of a sudden - it's been discussed in another thread as well. I'm not sure but it somehow seems to be related to the thrust setting. Also got this sound with #3 engine out in cruise and as soon as I got the engine started again the sound disappeared.Any idea what this might be? Never experienced anything like it before I updated the Queen.
