Having problems with V1.1 CTD try this...

Recommended Posts

All, Just trying to help and post what got it working for me. I have been flying error free for days on a vanilla build of FS.1. Uninstall the 744 completely. Erase all 4 gauge files and the PMDGOptions.dll2.reboot3.Install V1.0 and reboot. Load FS and ensure the 744 loads properly.4. Exit FS5. Install INTERIM UPDATE, NOT V1.16. reboot7. Load FS and verify interim update works8. Exit FS.9. Delete PMDGOptions.Dll and all 4 PMDG 744 gauges10. Install V1.111. Reboot12. See if the 744 will now load without CTD. DO NOT use any saved flights. Load the default flight switch to the queen and see if it works.13. Report back please,Thanks,-PaulLiquid CooledAMD 4000 San Diego2 Gigs Kingston Corsair XMS CL2Dual 7800 GTX 24 inch widescreen dual 19 inch LCDRaid-0psolksig.jpg

Ok, so I almost did exactly what you told me to do. The only thing i couldnt to is install the interim update, because i never used it and its not in the download section anymore.so what i did was this:1. Uninstall the 744 completely. Erase all 4 gauge files and the PMDGOptions.dll (edit: just to make sure your not miss anything, i didnt have to erase the gauges, cuz they where already erased when uninstalling, i did erase pmdgoptions.dll however..)2.reboot3.Install V1.0 and reboot. Load FS and ensure the 744 loads properly.4. Exit FS6. reboot9. Delete PMDGOptions.Dll and all 4 PMDG 744 gauges10. Install V1.111. Reboot12. See if the 744 will now load without CTD. DO NOT use any saved flightsUnfortunatly that didnt do the trick, if you think it might have been the fact that i didnt install te interim update before i installed v1.1 (which doesnt really sound very likely to me to be honoust) then maybe you could email the interim update to me. if its not to big you could send it to micharrulez@hotmail.com. Got plenty of space free over there, unless te size is >250mb...Thanks in Advance,

uninstall everything, go through and delete the gauges and pmdgoptions.dll, go delete the panelstate config from the pmdg folder as mentioned by Robert in his post above, reboot, now go to windows explorer, right click on the c drive, go to properties, then disk cleanup, and check every box except compress files, let it clean out your temp directories and setup files. NOW try to install everything again. And if that doesn't work, run the disk cleanup after each install. so install version 1, disk cleanup, then install the patch, and try it now.it fixed my gauge crash
