Hi,On the navigation display while in Map Mode, I noticed there was a symbol in green text which read "DECAL" what does this mean?Also, while descending to towards my approcah should the VNav button be disconnected or should it remain on till touch down? or is there a point where it turns off automatically?ThanksMike

Hello Mike, Since the 744 has no such dispayed symbol you must mean the 737. Whaat it displays is DECEL, it is a deceleration point on the path from the legs page. As for VNAV, this depends. Most likely you will arm APP mode which will then replace VNAV with G/S for landing. It is also true that VNAV can be flown on the approach and believe you must disconnect the A/P by 50' (a little rusty on the 737 since I am only flying the 744 of late)... ...............Randy J.
