How do you program a missed approach into the 747-400 FMC?

of course you can! if you got the approach chart with the respective missed approach procedure described you just need to enter the waypoints , constrains and the holding. Since the waypoints used in a MAP are not normal ones and usually not listened in the FMC data base you will have to programm them using either lat/long or place bearing distance or place bearing/ place bearing features.
