How do you program a missed approach into the 747-400 FMC?

Fsdave, (You parents must be flight sim nuts! ;-))The missed approach procedure has to be programmed into the STAR. I don't think you can punch in a missed approach in the FMC from the flightdeck. Hope it helps,

of course you can! if you got the approach chart with the respective missed approach procedure described you just need to enter the waypoints , constrains and the holding. Since the waypoints used in a MAP are not normal ones and usually not listened in the FMC data base you will have to programm them using either lat/long or place bearing distance or place bearing/ place bearing features.
