Why not just get the panel state the way you want it, use the pnel save menu to save it, then when you run FS again with this aircraft all you have to do is use the panel state menu gain to reload the one you saved?

Thanks for your response Dan :) - that is what I do now, but I am new to PMDG products, and was hoping to be able to do as I do with other complex planes, where I can load the a/c with my preferred settings already active.The extra step of loading a saved state is not a big deal mind you, I was just curious.
