February 26, 200620 yr When on appraoch the 747 captures the localizer but does not capture glideslope and veers to the right and crashes any suggestions on what might be wrong? It is not specific to the airport.
February 26, 200620 yr Hi Jamalq,2 questions,1, Have you set the landing configuaration in the INET REF page, you need to select the flaps & speed and then enter it into the bottom right blank entry. Format will be something like 30/159 as in 30 degrees flaps and 159 knots.2, have you entered the arrival runway in the DEP/ARR page?Daniel

February 26, 200620 yr Commercial Member Nameless, (don't forget to sign your posts)You say you can inercept the localiser, but then how comes that you are drifting to the right?Anyway, what does the FMA say? Do you see the G/S as armed in there when approaching the glideslope? Some screenshots would help and may solve the problem within seconds...Regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
February 26, 200620 yr "When on appraoch the 747 captures the localizer but does not capture glideslope and veers to the right "Not much information for us to work on, I'm afraid.A screenshot might help here. If it's veering to the right, it doesn't really sound like it's captured (are you seeing "LOC" in green on your PFD?). Maybe the aircraft is just following LNAV? Assuming you armed APProach, did you try to capture the G/S before the LOC? (if so, do you have the "Capture G/S before LOC" option selected in the PMDG menu?).How far out from the runway are you intercepting the LOC?Are you using add-on scenery for these airports?Cheers.Q.
