I searched here but didn't see any references to this, so thought I would post an idea I had. Basically an add-on like FSCargo, where you would get to play with all of the neat new loader features of the 747-400F to load your plane with simulated cargo, but within the structure of an assigned mission... i.e., start at airport A, pick up xxx amount of cargo, fly to airport B, drop off cargo, all within a time constraint.In fact, an add-on per-se may not even be needed - perhaps folks could post the specific mission parameters here in a thread, then others who have flown the mission could post their results (i.e., how long it took, what add-ons were used (RC, AS6, UT, etc)).If I can work up a mission I'll post one here. :)--Guy

I know of something of this nature, in a forum style. BFU (Bush Flying Unlimited: http://bfu.avsim.net/) has a forum on avsim.net (http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=144) called the "BFU Job Assignments and Flight Reports." You need to take a look at this as it is much like your talking about. I would be highly interested in this and an add-on like FSCargo would be even ever better. Maybe Francois could have the guys behind FSCargo develop this further for the long haulers.There is a whole freak'n history behind that idea. I mean a whole freak'n history. IF your interested, do a search for "Bush Logistics", "BLC" or "SIX" in those forums.The story is fairly simple. I got addicted a few years ago to bush flying in Alaska and the pacific NW. I would fly my heavies around and then finally into Vancouver, Seattle or Anchorage and then I would pick up a smaller a/c like a DC-3 Cargo MAAM edition and fly cargo around the bushes. I had the BRIGHT idea, and I still think it is very BRIGHT, to have cargo airliners like the B-777-200F and the B747-400F meet the bush birds at the larger fields and we would unload and they would load up and take the frieght from there to the bushes. Kind of like a role playing deal, because that is what happens in real life, a truck or a plane brings them frieght in quantities they can't fly with and then one or more a/c pick the frieght up and take it away. You would take screenshots of the meet and post them up on the flight dispatch forum. Bush Logistics Corp (BLC) was the idea and we had several repainted payware a/c which can all be found here: (http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=Bush+Logistics&FileName=&Author=&CatID=root). there was a website and about 30 pilots when we pulled the plug. We just couldn't get any bush guys to buy into the idea. They hate, oh yes the perfect word is hate, anything with a glass cockpit or a turbofan. I still think some modification of that would work, maybe I was before my time. Yeah, I definitely hear what you're saying. I personally think flying the big iron and the bush puddle jumpers are both thrilling aspects of FS. And I think FS is finally coming to a point where it can be used as a platform to incorporate all of these other facets of aviation that aren't directly linked to flying an airplane, but rely on airplanes in some form or other.Would be nice to see an add-on, or even make one, but I doubt I have the time or skills for that. FSX's "missions" componet should allow this sort of thing to be created in game hopefully...

You can try Virtual Atlas Air and Polar Air (http://www.globecargo.org/home.html). I'm thinking of joining either this virtual airline or Cargolux.

I am a member of BA Virtual World Cargo division. I have put together a round-the-world 'trip' (9-10 legs depending on where you start) based on actual BA Cargo flights. I have just posted it on the BAV forum, and if BAV administration would allow it, I would post the routing here with destinations, flight numbers, and departure and arrival times.
