April 14, 200620 yr I've built a flightplan KJFK-KIAD in the 744 FMC and all works great from start to finish. Only problem is that the depature ex rwy 31L is not displayed as a straight magenta line in the ND. My first wp is ff13R and after setting up the flight for departure, the ND shows the magenta fp line offset to the right of 31L, sort of next to rwy 31L on the ND. I've tried re-entering and re-executing the departure rwy 2-3 times, but it never straightens up the magenta line and the magenta route line never "joins" the parallel white rwy symbol in the ND.It's not a big deal, but I just wondered if this is a glitch or if I am doing something wrong?Appreciate any posts, thanks!Jonathan Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
April 14, 200620 yr "My first wp is ff13R"Just guessing: could this WP be part of the 31R departure? In this case the WP is offset to the R of 31L.regardsTon
April 14, 200620 yr Author That is indeed an interesting point!I have since discovered that if I accept the SID associated with 31L--and I constructed a departure without any SID up till now--it plugs in just one single wp to the FMC LEGS that I can delete from the LEGS page and then click EXEC and voila, the departure ex-31L becomes a straight magenta line.Ah, the joys of flying heavy iron with an FMC!Jonathan Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
