April 18, 200620 yr I decided to try a repaint. I know there is already an American Airlines repaint available but I wanted to try it out. The hardest part was trying to get a good aluminum texture. The repaint forum helpped with that. I used photos from Airliners.net to get the layout as close as possible. Since we don't fly 747s any more I changed some things to make it consistent with our current fleet. I used N101AA for the N number and use 1AA for the ship number. I have deleted the 747 Luxury Liner from the fuselage since this screen shot was done. That has been removed from all or almost all the planes by now. I don't know why they decided to do that. The 737s actually never had it. I also did the winglets with the AA.COM the way the 757s and 737 have it since the old -100s didn't have the winglets. I guess I will have to get the -400F and do one for that. Right now I think it is time to fly this one. Tom Landry
April 21, 200620 yr Author Thanks. This repaint thing is kind of cool. I keep thinking of others I might like to do. This is going to take away from my flying time. I did one for the Freighter but I don't actually have the plane so I can't check it out yet. Tom Landry
May 18, 200620 yr Author Here are my final versions for the 747 and 747F. It took a long time to get something I was happy with. Can anyone tell me how to remove the "PMDG Cargo" on the bottom of the 747F nose? I did not see that texture anywhere. Tom Landry
