Collision problem using 747 Type Course Lesson 1

Featured Replies

I just purchased the 747 and am working my way through Lesson 1. However, after about 10 or 15 minutes into the lesson - but one time after 35 minutes, a taxiing AI aircraft collides with my 747, following which the sim reloads the flight from the beginning with a cold and dark cockpit. This has happened all 3 times that I've tried to do the lesson. The lesson sets the traffic at 30%, so I suppose I could always turn it to 0% or turn off aircraft collisions in the FS 2004 settings and avoid the problem. But the problem ought not to be happening, so I'd like to figure out what's going on. I'm using no addons for Boeing Field where the lesson takes place. However, I am running My Traffic 2006 which may be relevant, although I've never encountered any similar problem with this AI program at any other airport or with any other aircraft. At this point, however, My Traffic seems the most likely culprit - unless others are having a similar problem and aren't running My Traffic. Then it is clearly something else. I tried disabling the afcad for KBFI that is used by My Traffic but I am still getting the collisions. Is anyone else encountering this problem, and if so, how did you resolve it?Thanks for any assistance. You might also try a different parking position out of the way of active taxiways.Andrew

Thanks for the input. Now I know that it's not something unique about my system. I'll just turn off the collision option and avoid the problem.Robert
