May 11, 200620 yr Hello airmenI've been trying the type course lesson 2. And after flying lesson PMDG 744 TRC Lesson 2 Part 3_D - the heavy takeoff with engine failure prior to V1 call out, I've tried to continue the flight. My goal was to continue the flight over the water and Jettison my fuel so I could land again. I've noticed two things...It takes a long time to jettison fuel. Is it possible to speed up that process, or is it as real as in real life?Shouldn't it be possible to se some fuel contrail's in the outside view.In this forum there was a "real life" discussion about an British Airways flight from KLAX to EGGL that declared an emergency due to one engine failure - remember. Now I can better understand the captains decision to continue the flight. The fuel dump takes a long time, it is expencive and it delays alot of people on their jurney.Safty first. As long as the captains decision was made with all possible considerations - and the brain always 20 minutes ahead of the airplane - I can see no problems in his decision. To PMDG team. Thanks for the Type Course Lessons :-)
May 11, 200620 yr lars, i do believe that jettison time is modelled on the queen. as for visual indication during jettison, if my memory serves me well, i believe it was left out due to the fps consideration. not entirely sure though.tomas Tom James
