OTZ via B244 to UHMA and invalid entry

Featured Replies

Hi,I'm still and will be for a long time a newbie with Boeing 747-400, but I'm slowly starting to learn more and more. I've made about a dozen of flights with Routefinder defined routes, but with this one I'm totally lost. The plan is CYVR to VTBD and it starts with direct to YVR VOR, because I don't fly SID or STARS at the moment. After that the route is as follows:J590 YZTJ502 OTZB244 UHMAG212 UHMGB337 TAG212 LRW41 VYKA461 LKOR343 NNGR474 NOBB465 MCR474 ALBOSHowever, after defining via B244 to UHMA, FMC says invalid entry. Both the UHMA airport and the intersection is available in the LEGS section to choose and the via B244 to NB NDB works. (NB is the previous fix in the Routefinder plan). I tried to use via B244 to NB and after that direct to UHMA, but after that I couldn't use any more airways. I have updated the NAVData 0605 and SID & STARS and Planepath updates.Hopefully there's a solution...Spude

Spude,I think you have found something. It seems the RTE page doesn't like if you try to connect any airway to a fix with the same name as an airport. You can however do DCT to and from these fixes though so my workaround for you is:...OTZ-B244-NB-DCT-UHMA-DCT-BETAM-G212-GORAS-DIRECT-UHMG-DIRECT-TA...TA is approx at 60
