June 5, 200619 yr On both the 744 and 737NG, I use the FMC to set and gather required takeoff info. During takeoff, I rotate at Vr, and in an attempt not to overshoot the climbout target speed of V2 +10, is pull up not very quickly, but quickly enough to interecept the speed, about 3 degress per second, and I get a stick shaker. Is this normal? I wouldn't think a stick shaker would come up during a climbout.
June 5, 200619 yr Does your actual flap setting match your FMC takeoff page flap Selection? Use flaps 20 as a general rule. For now, do not de-rate TO thrust. Did you set your stab trim to the trim setting from the CG line of the FMC's TO page? (Press the CG's LSK. A trim setting will pop up. You must then set it yourself.) Watch your FMA modes. Does TOGA remain in the pitch FMA as all that noise is going on? For TO, set the sim to 1/2 speed so you can watch things more closely.Let us know how it goes.
June 5, 200619 yr Author Everything matches the FMC. Flaps 20, CG Trim, FMA modes remain TOGA, and I will derate because it is a very light load and to go underated, would be to have it accelerate faster and cause me to overshoot it more. With a heavier load, I can perform it perfectly, but for shorter hops where fuel loads are low, it becomes a problem.
