HiCould somebody please tell me what does symbols 'S/C' in green on the maganta line of the flight means.I think c is for climb but no idea what s is.Many thanks.Tass

step climb

Tass,It stands for step-climb, the point at which you should step up to a higher cruise altitude to improve range and fuel economy. If you check the FMC's CRZ page it'll show you what altitude it's calculating a step to - when you reach the point, just dial up the new altitude (after getting ATC clearance of course) and press the altitude selector to commence the cruise-climb.

Many thanks Word Not Allowed and Ryan for the super quick reply.Word Not Allowed I notice on your reply you have the x1900xtx graphics card-could you please tell me what you think of it.I am thinking of upgrading my card to this.many thanks again guys.Tass

It and its less expensive xt brother are quite nice. They currently are rated just above a GeForce 7900GT/X. I would suggest considering holding onto your money for a bit longer though especially if you plan to prepare your Vista/FSX/DX10 machine. Both Ati and Nvidia are working on their DX10 video cards and should be annoucing them in the next month or two.

Hi Loiosh I will do as you say-also I heard pentium are lauching a new faster chip late August-lets hope it's not very expensive.Tass
