problems following course!!

Featured Replies

Hello,My problem is that the plane won't follow the course, like it is programmed on the fmc. vnav and lnav are armed just before takeoff, and the a/t is also armed.at about 2500 ft, i engaged the autopilot. Now when i moved my joystick the autopilot goes out, i try to re-engaged it, but i have to fly manual the right course and alt. What could be the problem?thanks, candlebe

Once you engate the A/P, you need to use the MCP to adjust course/altitude, etc...- John

What you need to do is use the HDG SEL function on the MCP. Select a heading that will intercept the magenta line, then arm LNAV again. When you aircraft gets within something like 2 miles (I think) of the correct course, LNAV takes over.
