August 22, 200619 yr hello guys... 1st post here...well, I have PMDG 737, 747 and I was surprized not to find a wing view for the 747 or WX radar for both...is there a way to add them? any Wx radar here?and how to update my FMC the FMC itself and my SIDSTAR folder?is there effects for PMDGs like smoke, lights?? to add new?thx
August 22, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hi, (please sign your real name next time, it's a forum rule)See the following links:http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/PMDG_...wingviews.22.3Fhttp://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/PMDG_...e_my_navdata.3FThere is no wx radar because FS9 does not allow us to program a realistic one. Anything you may have seen in other products does not accurately simulate what's really going on with a real radar and we're not gonna add what would essentially be a dummy gauge that's just there for visual effect. Significant upgrades will have to be made to the FS weather engine before we can make a real wx radar.I'm not sure what you mean about effects - 747-400's have very efficient modern high bypass engines that do not smoke and our model lights are already accurate per the real aircraft. August 23, 200619 yr umm I did with my real name.. sorry if not accepted.. how to change?Ok fair enough.. will FSX be with WX engine?
August 23, 200619 yr I updated them as said in that site..but when I fly online and the ATC gives me a SID I don't see it in FMC.. now maybe he's on old version.. but he says it's the newest.. so.. what's wrong? shouould I update NAVDATA every month?also, wing view could be used from the cabin as a passenger view

Same core modelling. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

The database doesn't have everything - to get that would cost a $100,000 per year Jeppesen subscription. Yes you should update it every time the AIRAC cycle changes. (you'll usually see a post here - but just bookmark www.navdata.at and www.planepath.com and check em every month.) Remember too that real pilots always have the paper charts in addition to the FMC coded SIDs/STARs - those are just there for convenience - any pilot should be able to build almost any procedure manually on the FMC LEGS page...>also, wing view could be used from the cabin as a passenger>viewThere's a reason we didn't do wing views on the 744 - we're well aware of what it could be used for, that's not the point.
