It is expecially strange the routing FS gave to me when I asked for a flight plan from Newark to Paris. Something like Newark, then over to Vancouver, than across Canada, and finally to paris. Whats with this, is the game really that dumb?

Default FS flight planning is pretty much rubbish for long haul. Use FSbuild or the routefinder website to get a slightly better result.
