How Much Does A New Learjet XX Cost ?

Featured Replies

Got into a discussion tonight about the cost of a new Lear Jet. I was told that a mutual friend (a CEO for a major world-wide beverage company) ordered one for 22 million. In the discussion this evening, my friend say's there is "no way" to spend this much for a fairly standard (but well equipped Lear business jet).Anybody know the approximate cost.... if ordered new.Regards...Bob (Lecanto, Fl)AMD, Athlon XP, 1800+MSI, K7T266 XP ProPC 2100 DDR, 1024 MBXP, Home Edition Elsa GLadiac 920, GF3/64Mb andPNY, Verto nVidia TNT 2-M64/32WD, 100 MB, 7200, Ultra 100Sound Blaster, Audigy MP3+CH Prod, VPP Yoke - Sound CardCH Prod, Pedals - Sound Card

We looked into one about 3 years ago and our quoted price was for $8.4 million. Of course it all depends on what size and "things" you get with it.$22 million sounds like one very fully loaded, but hardly worth it...a few million more and your in Boeing country.

I was watching a show on discovery about lears a couple weeks ago. As I recall they said around $7 million plus or minus depending on the options.

22 Mil is a bit high for any Lear. The Falcon 50 was only about 10 mil when it was new. I believe you can get a Falcon 2000 for less than 22 now and it is huge by comparison.Ken
