Saving PMDG Flights

Featured Replies

Dear pilots,Shortly I'am using the PMDG's 737-7,8,9 Next Gen series instead of the standard Microsoft Boeings. And for most, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. The planes handle much better and more realistic to my opinion. The presence of an FMC etc... are very usefull. But I'm troubling with saving flights. When I'am in a long-distance flight I would like to save a flight in order to continue an other time. Actually saving isn't a problem, FS2004 seems to save normally. But when I want to load the from the save file, the plane has forgot every information I gave him: the NAV and ATC frequencies, the FMC route and plane details, the Autopilot settings etc...When the loading has completed the plane drops out of the sky caused the unwanted reset of the autopilot. Manual correction and re-entering autopilot settings (height, speed, course, heading) and FMC settings (plane type, weight, position, fuel onboard, route etc..) is the only solve I could think of.I'm aware that you can save your route into the FMC, and I can load it without problems, but the save doens't contains all airport, aircraft, take-off/approach settings etc... that you have to fill in the FMC to make it fuction correctly. In mid-air cruise it isn't such a problem to re-enter the settings (altough it is very annoying, MS planes don't have these problems),but on saved approached (when I'd like to only fly an approach to improve my landing skills e.g.) it is almost impossible to re-enter everything while keeping the plane in a descent, pre-calculated approach, glide-slope and course (after all, I can't just switch on the autopilot, I have to follow the procedures so I don't create any more problems).I'm using v 1.3 of the PMDG aircraft software on a smoothly operating FS2004 (20-30 fps on 1024x768@32bits). I've already googled the net for a solve to this problem, but unfortunatly I haven't found anything yet, so my hope is set on you guys!Thank you!Regards, Davit

Davit,The 737 does not support saving, sorry. It was developed long before we'd implemented the panel state saving technology that appears in the 747-400 product. The all new 737 NGX we're making for FSX will have saving.
