Virtual Cockpit problem

Featured Replies

I reinstalled the 747 Queen after not having flown for more than a year so please patience.Everything worked fine including the virtual cockpit showing.I just started the type rating cource just to get started again and here the virtual cockpit won't show even as has been suggested goinginto the menu and change the setting once off and on again. This works when using another flight not connected with type rating cource. Is there an solution for this problem?Anybody?Thank you very much.

I ran into the same problem when I flew all four courses. One thing I didn't try was to change the plane livery to something other than the default PMDG 747-400 that gets loaded when you start the flight. When I read the first lesson instructions, they indicated that you can fly the lessons with any livery you desired, so maybe once the flight is loaded and you are sitting on the tarmac or runway, you can then change the airplane to another livery and get the VC to work. I don't know if the information that was loaded into the FMC at the start of the lesson will remain however, so you might want to give it a try. Anyone?Kim Kraemer

Hi Kim,I read somewhere that to solve the problem is simply to select saythe cessna model load it up (there is always a VC) then reselectthe PMDG and you will have a VC.I Know that the info uploaded in the FMC is not saved but if you link 2 or 3 lessons together it is a small price to pay.I would love to hear about a better solution!Anyway thank you for your reply,Carel
