Is El Alto International (SLLP), Peru the highest?

Featured Replies

I have just finished flying into Thoise (Z13Q), India using flight plan 37RTWest (soon to be available at Avsim) when it occurred to me that it most be one of the highest airports in FS2K2. On sniffing about in FS2K2 however I came upon El Alto International (SLLP) Peru at 13,313 ft. beating Thoise (Z13Q) which is a mere 10,499 ft. Does anyone out there know of any airports in FS2K2 that are higher, dirt, grass, international ILS equipped or not, only that it should be in the default FS2K2 database?Cheers, Denis. The highest international airport in the world is, as you have found, La Paz in Bolivia (SLLP). RegardsRussell Jourdain (NZL007/ZK-RHJ)

Denis,SLLP is located in Bolivia, and yes, it's the highest, equipped with ILS. You can find Bolivian airports scenery at www.labvirtual.org (in spanish).Good luck,Camilo.

Camilo, que gusto verte por aca ;)salu2

Thanks for the help and corrections offered so far. Do bear in mind my search for the highest airport is not limited to ILS equipped International airports since in my original message I included dirt and grass airports. The only qualification is that the airport be recognised as an airport by FS2K2. We seem to stuck at SLLP at the moment.Denis. The Ancient Brit.
