Why doesnt the speedbrakes armed light turn on when the speed brakes are armed on the 738?

You sure you're actually arming them? The NG's speedbrakes won't arm with the usual Shift+/ command, you have to actually drag it using the mouse...

I was arming them from the vc, I didn't know that they could only be armed from the 2d view.
