How do we deal with the FMC message "9 Rnw Load Err" ?

Featured Replies

We're on Runway 7L at Lax and have loaded the PMDG Flight Plan of LAXSMF001.After entering this Flight Plan into Co.Route I receive a message reading "9 Rnw Load Err"I first thought that it may be caused by not using runway 9 but I note that this runway doesn't appear to exist. The only choices are:7L25R7R25L6R24L6L24RCan anyone help me deal with the problem please?Cliff

Cliff, I think it means that the runway configuration at one of those airports (Sacramento would be my guess) has changed since that flight plan was created. The flight plan tries to use a runway that doesn't exist anymore (in terms of name) and that triggers the error. That is a very short and simple route, you could try just building it manually based on the real life most used flightplan:KLAX.GMN4.GMN..CZQ.WRAPS5.KSMFThat shouldn't take more than 5 or 10 seconds to enter in via the DEP/ARR page since it's nothing but a SID and a STAR. Then just pick your runways according to current weather. This is how it would be done in the real world.
