Heavy XTK Error

Featured Replies

Hello... for at least 2 weeks now I suddenly have a problem with the PMDG.Everytime I fly, the FMC doesn't seem to follow the route correctly, sometimes I get XTK Errors of 7nm or even more. However, this only seem to happen in Europe and when I cross the atlantic, once I reach for example the USA everything is fine and the FMC follows the track correctly with no, or very low XTK Error...I have attached an image I just took while flying over Canada (EDDF-CYVR).I am using the latest AIRAC 0706, but it has also happened with 0706.I tried uninstalling the PMDG and reinstalling it but it didn't help, the weird thing is that I never had this before, it just suddenly came.I should also mention that when I press LNAV repeatly the airplane moves to the correct track, but if I stop clicking LNAV the XTK Error increases. Thanks :).

Hi, I had the same problem in 2005. there are some Add On Sceneries which can cause this problems. Please try again with the default scenery only and then sort out the troublemaker by activating add on scenery by add on scenery (Airport Sceneries). It could also be that the magdec.bgl is corrupted, try to restore it from the FS disk. It is in one of the *.CAB files. Jan-Paul
