747-400 Flight Plan and A/P Issues

Featured Replies

I have started experiencing some issues with the Autopilot and Flight plans/fmc.My main problem is that things are happening which occur for no apparent reason. My first issues is that the A/P will disconnect at random and without warning. The other issue with regards to FMC/active fligh plans. I have created the fligh plan whihc is active, taken off and the rest of it. But again at random and for no reason, an FMC message appears saying there is no active flight plan, and all the waypoints on th ND are missing. Last time it happened i was climbing out of LAX flying towards the FICKY intersecttion.Any help for any of these problems would be great. The only add-ons i have are PMDG 744, Level D 767,Activesky and a payware Cirrus SR22.

You need to sign you posts. It's a forum rule. As for you A/P problem, don't touch your control. Any control input will cause it to automatically disconnect. As for the FMC, I've never had that problem before. Since you do have the LDS 767, you shouldn't have too much trouble with the FMC. Are your waypoints even showing in the ND before departure? If not, open the RTE or LEGS page an make sure the full flight plan is there.Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa296.png

I dont actually put in any control inputs other than what is needed for takeoff and landing. All visbile waypoitns are visible and active in the FMC an ND, before i even leave the gate. It only seems never to occur on the ground.RegardsMichael Wright
