FSX screen problem

Featured Replies

In preparing my Vista Home Premium PC for PMDG 747-400X (yes, I'm that optimistic!), I have installed FSX and FSX SP1. I have also installed the latest NVIDIA drivers for my two GeForce 7900 GTX display cards. But I cannot get FSX graphics to display. On starting FSX, all of the text panels display correctly (including the spinning visuals of the chosen aircraft), but on starting a flight (with Fly Now!), the display constantly alternates between the information box containing 'Loading complete! 100%' and the correct graphic display of aircraft dashboard and outside view. The switching occurs about every second. My second display shows only my screen background but shrunk to about a half of its normal size.I suspect that this problem is to do with the new display driver, but I can't think of anything else that I can do to remedy the situation. Any ideas please? Many thanks,

Cheers, Richard

Update....I turned off my second display with the Display Settings panel and I can now get a correct flight deck display on my primary display. If I re-actvate my second display, I get the original problem on the primary display,Cheers,PS How do you undock the overhead panel with FSX? There appears to be no menu choice for this.

Cheers, Richard

Ah, solved! The stuttering has stopped now that I have got the main screen into a window (i.e. not full screen). After trying all the different settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel without effect, it seems that I just shouldn't use full screen mode. No problem!Cheers,
