LNAV doesn't hold on new leg

Recommended Posts

First, congratulations on the release of your 747 FSX version. I am sure another great product. My question is about the 737NG LNAV function. I get the plane operating just fine and then I hit a leg which has a sharp turn to it. When in LNAV the plane will not hold to the new heading and LNAV disconnects. Is this correct? Is there a maximun number of degrees that the LNAV function can turn the plane without disconnecting that function.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Matthew,The NG uses an older version of our FMC software and it does have a few issues with tight/close together turns that involve a large change of heading. I can't tell for sure if this is that issue without seeing it, but it probably is if it's a course reversal or something like that.If that's the case just use HDG SEL until you can reestablish the LNAV course. The new NG 2.0 we're doing will not have this issue.
