Always me. I have read about MAG and TRUE switch. But since this does not effect navigation what is it there for? And, above all, when am I suppose to switch from MAG to TRUE?ThanksLorenzo

LorenzoAs I understand it this switch controls which system is used for referencing heading / track info. The MAG/TRUE indication on the CRT according to the manual; "Indicates heading/track is referenced to magnetic north or true north."The ever decreasing circle behaviour is what happens very close to the Pole when using MAG referencing - it apparently is something to do with the way FS(9) handles navigation. As I was advised in an earlier posting "End of the World" this summer, switch to TRUE when passing 80S Southbound, or 80N Northbound. Will play with this some over the holidays and let you know.Enjoy your Christmas, dude!Peter
