December 28, 200718 yr I typically activate the APP button once lined up on the approach and usually make a good ILS landing. On occasion, when close to landing the VORLOC button will activate on its own and things start to get out of kilter. I usually wind up turnng off the CMD A auto-pilot to make a good landing. Whats the deal with the VORLOC? What does it do and why does it kick in on some flights? Thanks, Doug C.
December 28, 200718 yr Doug,You are leaving too much to our own imagination. Tell us what actually happens and if possible provide screen shots of the procedure that's going wrong,Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
December 28, 200718 yr MatsI can try to do some screen shots but its essentially as I describe. The APP is working fine and it has me lined up on the KSEA 34R glidescope (APP light has turned off which I find kinda non-intuitive but its working fine). On occasion, all of a sudden the VORLOC light turns on and the 737 starts to climb. Pushing the APP button might work but I have just turned off the AP. I'lldo some more testing and see what I can provide for clarification. Thanks! Doug
December 28, 200718 yr Doug,"...when close to landing the VORLOC button will activate on its own and things start to get out of kilter. Please provide more data and some screen shots. The APP light will go out when both LOC and GS is locked (As per the real thing). No other way to get out of that then to do a GA or completely disconnect the A/P.Hope it helps, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
