PMDG 747-400X "Update" Issue

I was able to install the product without any problems and it seemed to run fine, however, I am unable to save anything. For example, I tried saving simple things like the sound volume and the PFD to Single Cue (both under Options) and neither saved after I click OK. They go back to their original values. I then tried saving the panels (Panel State | Save) with a simple file filename (I just typed "B747" and a description of "test") and when I hit , I get what appears to be a Win-Vista msg box "Cannot create file".Looks like a pattern.....has anyone encountered this problem before. I had responded positively to all security related prompts the first time I used the product per the OPS documentation....Thanks
