Thanks for your reply.It turned out to be the joystick. Something had broken. I bought a new Sidewinder Precison Pro 2 last night and it started right up.One thing I had failed to mention was that my 5 year old grandson picked it up and ran with it while it was plugged in. I caught him just before the USB plug popped out, but it might have caused some stretching in the cable.Thanks again,Joe

Well, good to hear you solved the problem, bad to hear about the death of your joystick :) Children + Plastic Accessories = Trouble LOL
