Autopilot Check 737

Recommended Posts

Guest robfather

Hi,Just a quick question re the Autopilot. I have noticed that during the cockpit checks, the autopilot cannot be turned on to check if functioning, disengage etc., and that the A/P will only activate when airborne. Is this how it's supposed to work? I thought you would be able to check it's functioning prior to take-off?ThanksRob

Rob,This is how it works in the real NG as well. And how would you test the A/P on the ground? The only thing you would really test would be the indication light and the disengage bar anyway.Hope it helps,
