HI All.The B1900 has a high idle or low idle setting on the pedestal. Can anyone tell me what conditions you use the different idle setting high or low?Thanks

Low idle for engine starting - High Idle for taxying.

My friend works for Great Lakes Airlines out of Denver and he said that their company policy is to use low idle 100% of the time. I've been on a Continental Connection B1900, where they used low idle for taxi, high idle for takeoff, low idle for cruise, and high idle for landing. It depends on the carrier.
