MD11: How entering Distance Circle at Fix-page (syntax)?

Featured Replies

Hi,I would like to create a cirle around a Nav-point (VOR) with an entered distance. Therefore I tried that on the fix-page and entered the Nav name at LSK 1L....that worked well...Now I would like that a circle will be displayed at a distance lets say 20 NM around... That because I entered (according to the FMS-PMDG manual on page 83) at LSK 3L different syntax for that but the result was only always a "Format error".So what do I have to enter at the LSK 3L at the MCDU-Fix page so that a circle at 20 NM from the entered Nav-fix is accepted and then also displayed on the ND...? Or to be more clear: what is the exact syntax at LSK3L (for circle distance drawing) after I entered the Nav ident at LSK1L...? Or isnt that just possible on the MD11-MCDU...?Thanks so much! :)KR

Did you try entering the distance at LSK 2L?- jake

Susan,Drawing circles (like the 747, as asked before) is not possible on the MD-11.You can make PBD's or make own Waypoints to your confenience however.Sure this options can be found in the FMS manual.Regards,Harry

Hi Harry, thanks for your quick reply! :)>...>Drawing circles (like the 747, as asked before) is not>possible on the MD-11.>Thats very sad because I liked it very much for navigational purposes at birds like PMDG737NG etc. But as I think (as always!) PMDG created "the real thing" this has to be that way though...>>You can make PBD's or make own Waypoints to your confenience>however.>>Sure this options can be found in the FMS manual.>Sure? Well, tried to look that up in FMS-Manual yesterday but wasnt successful, but perhapes I have to re-check this again... KRSusan
