Hi,I assume that if i enter a temperature then the FMC will enter D-TO if the temp is high enough. However, I thought that higher temps have 'thinner' than colder air. Therefore i guess i'm asking if the air temp is hotter and thinner why does the FMC compute a lower thrust for take off.Any help appreciated.Carl

This had me baffled for a long time aswell. You have to think about it the other way round. If you enter a higher temperature, lets say 55
