June 22, 200223 yr PIC Team, After the FS2K2 patch install everything works perfect with this release. All functions behave as well as I have every seen, even better than it did originally in FS2000.However, when I go to shut down FS2K2 with the PIC 767 as my default plane, I get a MSFS2K2 save error. The situation file is not saved properly. I have to manually reset the location file and then all is OK.Does anyone know what could cause this error? This problem only occurs with the PIC panel. Could there be a panel portion that is not saving correctly?Again, the panel from a function standpoint is just perfect in FS2002. Sure wouuld love to get this little problem solved.Bob JohnsonDenver, CO
June 22, 200223 yr Good question. I had this problem in FS2000 running in Windows 2000, but I have never had that problem in FS2002, also in Windows 2000.Lee Hetherington (KBOS)
June 23, 200223 yr Author Hi Lee,This problem would occur on occations with FS2K, but I am now running PIC with FS2K2 and Windows XP Pro. What happens with this error is that FS2K2 ending sequence aborts at the save situation portion of the FS2002.CFG overwrite. I must manually reset it too where my current location is. Can't quite understand why it won't set correctly. As I said this only occurs with the PIC panel, all others will save correctly.Bob Johnson(KDEN)
June 27, 200223 yr Author The shutdown problem was caused by the landing view extra bitmap and gauges. I believe there is duplicate gauges and on shutdown they both attempt to close causing the error.Once the landing view was removed from my panel.cfg, the problem went away.Lee, can you post the landing view fix for the error with PICgauges?Bob Johnson
