FS2K2 flight plan import to FMC

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,I have been trying to load my flight plan from the FS2K2 flight planner into the FMC using the COROUTE proceedure and nothing happens. I read the FMC manual which states that flight plans have to be saved in the Pilots folder. FS2k2 only allows you to save flight plans in the MyFlights folder.Anyone know how to get around this? Thanks,Astro

Hello,Well I have to say that this topic has been beaten to death... and then resurrected.. and then beaten to death again.Anyway,First you save the flightplan to the directory that FS2k2 wants you to save it to. Save it with an eight-character (or more) name, where the format is like this:DDDDAAAAxxDDDD=departure ICAO codeAAAA=arrival ICAO codexx=additional id numbers if you like to use them (not mandatory)Then go to the directory you saved the plan to and copy it to:X:FS2002FMCWPFlightplansthat is the directory where PIC FMC will search the FP from.An example:An FP from Helsinki, Finland to New York would be saved as:EFHKKJFK.plnAnd in the CO-ROUTE LSK you would simply type: EFHKKJFKThat's it.If you're using an external FP software, they usually allow you to save the FP directly to the abovementioned directory where the FMC expects the FPs to be.Hope this helps.Cheers,Tero
