As Jon said, during a VATSIM fly-in it can be really tough, since ATC usually (OK, I admit I haven't done it enough to justify saying "usually") wants you to maintain high speed - like 270 knots - for a long time, and then when you descend they suddenly want you at 210 knots instead. The main reason for this is because the DF734's FMC runs as a separate program, which I don't really like.
