Getting elevator spikes... need some help here!

Ok I've tried everything...About a week ago PIC started acting really strangly on me - when I go to rotate on TO, the elevator suddenly snaps full upward and locks there. I have elevator control for a few secs, but then it always goes full up and I stall. It's not runaway trim - the actual control surface is moving, you can see it on the 2nd lower EICAS page. I've updated my joystick drivers (it's a Saitek USB Cyborg), I've reinstalled the latest FSUIPC, and reinstalled PIC all to no avail. Finally, two days ago, I flat uninstalled and dumped my entire FS2002 folder. Reinstalled FS, all my addons etc... SAME PROBLEM!!! The default planes, DF's Archer and 737, and the PSS A320 all don't exhibit this behavior - it's just PIC. I've never had any problems with the PIC panel, which is why this seems so strange to me...I was using Lee's POSKY v3 merge, but to reduce the variables for troubleshooting, I used the default FS2002 PIC install with the Wilco model after reinstalling FS and it still did it.Is there any way it could be the newest FSUIPC causing the problem?? Does anyone have the old 2.87 version (2.88 is current) so I can test that??Thanks,Ryan

What's your e-mail address?

Check your e-mail; hope it works.

I get the same thing. I'm also have issues being unable to rotate with the -300RR and -200 models.

This might help you. It works for me. I have tried everyone else's cures and even Posky's updated files and each one failed miserably. I don't understand how my FS can be so completely different than everyone else's. :-(Anyway, I replaced the air file of the v3 with the air file from the v2 and made the following changes to the aircraft config file. It works perfectly for me and finally for the first time the auto land works whereas it doesn't crash into the runway. :-) it requires a gentle pull on the controls at the threshold/flare, but sets down now with out scattering body and plane parts all over the place! HAHA :-LOL Also the contacts points are from the v2 model. No more sinking and crashing into the runway or tarmac when loading the aircraft. Here you go, hope it helps;[forcefeedback]gear_bump_nose_magnitude=3000 ; 0 - 10000gear_bump_nose_direction=18000 ; 0 - Guys, I'm using the default PIC airfile, not the POSKY one... plus it's doing it without even using the POKSY model, the default PIC install does it.

Check you have the latest version of FSUIPC/Joystick and technical options....that may help if it is calibrated properly....can remove problems.Other than that, try a different stick and see if that helps.Rob.

Hey,Im getting the same problems, ever since i downloaded some patch from wilco 5 days ago, when they just released it, they said its suppost to make pic 767 work with other programs other than fs2002, im guessing this might be the problem, because thats the only thing ive done different with fs, i havnt updated to the new fsuipc yet...any idea on how to uninstall that since it wont show up that i installed it?if this isnt it, what is it, because i tried useinf the default posky cfg , and i did the copy and paste, but that didnt seem to help, so im guessing that the problem is either the program that i downloaded or the panel itself. mAtt

Ok figured it out:Do NOT install the MCP patch unless you have the MCP hardware! That patch was causing the elevator spikes - I uninstalled PIC again and reinstalled it with just the original FS2002 patch and it works fine with both FSUIPC 2.87 and 2.88 - as soon as I add the MCP patch, the elevator spikes start again...Ryan
