aloha all.i just reinstalled my operating system (win98se) and fs2002 and PIC767. i have noticed that sometimes during an autoland, just about 10 feet from the ground before touchdown, my autopilot disengages. i see the autipilot disconnect light lit and the plane starts to wander about. i do not have any yoke or rudders hooked up yet (being repaired) and i am just flying this with the keyboard. this has happened only at certain runways. i have tested it with original liveries as well with the posky merges as well and it does the same thing. i don not have any other 3rd party aircraft installed. i have fsuipc 2.88 installed with the "extend battery checked" also. would setting the altimeter improperly have anything to do with why this is happening or could it be a scenery elevation problem? thanks in advance for any help.fly safetakamy403 - PHNL

I'd check your pitot-static probes for Humuhumunukunukuapuaa's :-hahAlo---ha! Ian.

Are you using any 3rd party or add-on scenery? Is you barometer/altimeter setting correct?Do you have any special key functions/macro's programmed in PIC767?Is your weather within the AP Autoland limits - winds in particular?Just some things to check...the PIC767 A/P is flawless I promise you.Rob....either that or it's another Single Neutron event upset, eh Ian?

aloha again.i think i can confirm that it only happens with my new LAGO PHNL scenery on runway 08L so far. i have simflyers sceneries and have no problems. i installed PSS-747, PSS-777, DF-737 and these planes have no problems with autoland with the LAGO PHNL scenery and simflyers scenery. how could just that runway (08L) affect my PIC-767 auto pilot disconnecting at 10 feet?i agree 100% that the PIC767 A/P is flawless as with PS1-744 which i fly as well.ian. sorry but my pitot tubes are clear of any humuhumu-nukunuku-a-pua

The problem would seem to be your scenery....why PSS744 works ok with dodgy scenery..well I will hold my comments about the PSS744 ;-) I have learned to be very critical of 3rd party scenery or scenery intended for earlier versions of FS Fligthsim. Try it with DEFAULT and let us know how the PIC767 performs...I think you will find that the PIC767 is above your expectations.Rob.

aloha rob.PIC767 works with the default scenery with no problems at all. i will keep the LAGO scenery and make my landings at RWY04R instead.fly safetakamy403 - PHNL

Takamy,Did the Lago PHNL scenery add a flatten switch to your Scenery.cfg file?

I think that over time you will find that the PIC autoland feature has problems with most 3rd party airports. It works flawlessly on default scenery, but there are only a few add-on ones on which it will autoland correctly (GAP from my experience). I'm yet to have a perfect autoland on any Simflyers or UK2000 airports, so if it's bad weather (I tend to land by hand) I tend to divert somewhere else if I happen to be flying to them.

aloha workingstiff,i went into the scenery.cfg file and i didn't see the flatten switch. i tried adding it but the autoland still disconnects at RWY08L at about 10 feet from touchdown.[Area.129]Title=Honolulu INTL
