October 1, 200223 yr The VFR view... revisited! lol Anyways, here's my view on approach to Anchorage, with a touch n go. I know you all have differing thoughts on how a VFR panel should look, but for the most part what do you all think???Thanks in advance for any feedback...Sincerely,Phil Geddesp.s. The F/D bars do work... I just didn't have anything in the FMC...
October 1, 200223 yr Looks good. Are you going to share it (either here, or by e-mail)? I'd be interested either [email protected] ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
October 1, 200223 yr How does your landing gear behave if you lower them after switching to the landing view? Most have not been able to avoid the occasional "sticking" problem where you can't actually raise the gear without reselecting PIC from the AC menu. If you overcame that problem, how? Do your altitude callouts still work?
October 1, 200223 yr Looking darn good !! Please share it !I defintely need this to make good landings !Andr
October 1, 200223 yr Okay... Mike did bring up a valid point... I have occasionally had an issue wher the gear lever did nothing. This has been pretty infrequent, and the couple of times that I've had to reload my aircraft have been well worth the enjoyment I've gotten from the panel. Also, only the lighting on the MCP works at night. This is also a minor issue for me. The gear problem has only happened on occasion when I start a flight from scratch in vatsim (although I don't think Vatsim has anything to do with it). Thanks for brining that up though, Mike.Phil Geddes
October 1, 200223 yr The "sticking" problem is directly related to lowering the gear after switching to the landing view. I am also convinced that flap adjustment in the landing view can also sometimes cause a glitch. The only solution to the problem thus far is to either get in full landing configuration before switching views or to come out of the landing view to make changes and stay on a normal view until you have 3 green.
October 1, 200223 yr That's very peculiar... I've never had a problem like that when landing...hmmmm... a little more investigation...Phil Geddes
