October 8, 200223 yr Hi all,Please could one of you good people email me or reply to this thread with the weight and balance section in the aircraft.cfg file of their PIC/POsky merge.Mine is all over the place the aircraft is uncontrollable, especially on final approach.Of course I didn't back this one up "cos I wasn't going to change much", lesson learnt.Cheers,Ian
October 8, 200223 yr 1 - Re-install a POSKY/PIC merged 767 with Lee Heatherington's merge application. This will give you a new aircraft with a new config file. Make sure you are NOT using the POSKY version of the aircraft.cfg file.2 - Throw away any weight and balance applications you may have - the problems associated with these applications are numerous for FS2002 useage.3 - If you want to change the ZFW ("empty weight" in the config file), the PIC767 .cfg file default is 245,2xx lbs..simply enter in a new number between 199,000 (basic weight) to 288,000 lbs (max ZFW). The term "empty weight" in the config file is really the ZFW in effect. If you need more information, do a search on this forum, the same question has been dealt with several times.Rob.
October 8, 200223 yr Author Hi Rob,I've learnt 2 and 3 the hard way and I was trying to avoid 1. I've got everything fully set up and it used to work great. I've just buggered up the Weight and Balance section. I was hoping one of you could just give me those numbers so I can plug the section back in and get back with it.Searching the forum didn't produce what I'm looking for. Are people worried about copyright?Cheers,Ian
October 8, 200223 yr Re-installing the PIC-POSKY merge will give you a non-buggered up aircraft config. The manual entry you can make in the "empty weight" section is anywhere from 199000.00 pounds to 288000.00 lbs. The default is 245,000.00lbs which is a good average to use and allows a full fuel load without exceeding MTOW.You do not need anyone to send you a new config file, just re-install the merge application and change the aircraft title to suit your particular choice of aircraft. Now, stop buggering around with it you silly sod ;-)
October 9, 200223 yr Copy the W&B section out of the original PIC aircraft.cfg and paste it into your merged aircraft.cfg. They should be identical.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
