October 10, 200223 yr I note that when turning on aircraft lighting (at night), I see a flash of pink on the panel, then returns to the unlit condition (the guages always are lit, lights on or off, as long as LT OVRD is on). Looking out the right front (FO panel), it's totally dark. Is this normal? I have one of the original CD versions for FS2000, since patched for FS2002.Thanks,Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
October 17, 200223 yr I'm haveing the same problem. Kind of makes night flying tough expecially when I'm 'night flying' during real world day. Does anyone have a fix for this?
October 17, 200223 yr Not 100% on this but..... I recall that you can not use the default FS lighting (ie - don't press L or whatever turns on your lights) - select the lights from the tiny overhead on the main panel (the one on the far left) and that will do it for you. Using the default FS light switch causes some sort of a pink flicker.Looking to your 2 O'Clock it should look all dark as this is just a BMP and not actually a part of the panel.Hope this helps - I never turn on the panel lighting at night, the gauge lighting is usually enough for me.Ian Elchitz CYWG
October 17, 200223 yr I did a quick search of the forum for "panel lighting" and got lost for 30 minutes reading all sorts of old stuff. I did find this one which backs up your reply Ian.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID33/1229.html
October 18, 200223 yr This is in some mysterious way blocked by the AFDS panel. I have spent many good hours trying to work around that block, but without any success. I
