"Vector Corrector"

Recommended Posts

Guest Joshieca

Is anyone working on "cracking" the code that ATC uses to vector your aircraft? Maybes its been done and I am overlooking it somewhere. But it should would be nice to have a little app that allows you to correct vectors that ATC gives you. I know that at several airports they are off from the real world.[div align=center][link:members.cox.net/fstimes/wetimage.html]Click Here For Weather Image of the Day!

Yes there is a simple pattern it always instruct you to intercecept the glideslope at 30 degrees of its heading.

True, but VATSIM has a limited air space in which users can get controlled. :(

While there is likely no way to get this first generation version of ATC to be more accurate, I have discovered that as long as you are within 10 degrees of their instructed vector, ATC won't yell at you. So when they give me a heading that is, for example, too direct to an ILS approach, I just adjust myself, keeping in mind to 10 degree window. Not "As real as it gets", but workable.
