how to hold the landing view

Featured Replies

After installing the new fantastic landing view I have a small problem. The use of Shift2 or shift5 does not show the new landing view. The landing view was automatically assigned to the look down view of the hat switch and I could assign the "Shift5 look" to one of the buttons of the flight yoke. My problem is that I can not hold this view, I have to hold the hat switch or the button to hold the view. Numlock is off.Who can help me solving this problem?Pyro

Hi Pyro,Your numlock key should be on. Holding down 2 or 5 on the numpad will give you the two alternate landing views. If you want to "lock" one of these views, hold down the 2 or 5 then hold down the CTRL button, then release both, the view should now stay on. Pressing the numpad 2 or 5 again will return you to the normal panel view.Have fun!

OK Murf, everything works fine now. Thanks for your response.Pyro

Glad to help!:-)

Sounds great!Where or how can I achive this.

Actually it works this way:If numlock is OFF, then pressing SHIFT+2/5 (on the numpad!) will bring on either view, and when releasing the keys, the view stays (if you pan with the hat, it'll not return to it though, would be nice to get that working as well, anyone??). One has to press SHIFT first for the view to activate! If numlock is ON, then pressing FIRST either 2 or 5 (on the numpad!) will bring the view on (for as long as you press 2/5) and THEN pressing CTRL, the view stays IF you release the 2/5 FIRST and then CTRL. Complicated ? Not at all ;)Tero

I don't have to jump any of these hoops with the CTRL key as long as NUMLOCK is ON. I just press 2 or 5 and the view sticks.J
