VFR/Progress Rain and Landing Lights

Featured Replies

I have got my VFR panel on a forward view WITHOUT using the "minipanel". As you can see the rain works great, as for the landing lights, they work with a "Posky 300" but not with the default aircraft. I think that most will use a Posky anyway seeing that it has much better frames and textures. I am working on view angles right now and need to make a hidden gauge to switch from Main Panel to Vfr. One more thing that you might be interested in. I can now use my joystick "hat" to look sideways and see the default bitmaps and it will come right back to the landing view! Now back to work! Great news!! PLEASE post up the info on how to do this when you finish all the adjustments!! Can't wait so this will make my flying experience with the PIC Panel and 767 even more better!! MIKE-:)

I have the "hidden gauge" working. So now all you have to do to switch between views is to "click" on the clock button located on the left on both panels. Many thanks to Lee H. for the use of his gauge, had to modify it a bit though. It's just a matter of getting zoom and down angle now. I can't seem to even change PIC's main panel from 1.0 to anything else for some weird reason. Well I got his far so back to work.Randy

Very cool, this is great stuff. At the risk of sounding repetitous, you can make a flight situation file with the panel zoom factor you like best and it will stick after you change views. You can afterwards slew or place your aircraft wherever you want and the zoom in the original situation file will still stick (unless of course you load another situation file). The problem otherwise as I'm sure you've recognized is that zoom will automatically snap back to 1.0 if you try to change views or perspectives without having started with the aforementioned situation. This is goofy but it's the only workaround I've ever been aware of. Also, have you specified a 'View_direction_forward=' update in the PIC767 panel.cfg file to manage the up or down perspective you're looking for? This may or may not be applicable to your project, not sure.I don't have any savvy with either C++ or .xml gauge formats, wish I did. Please keep us updated on your progress, looking good.

So if I change the down perspective this will effect all three panels. Randy

Looking good... :-) I'm dealing with the minipanel at the moment. I think your method is definitely the better way to go! Oh, and I'd love to get a copy of your panel sometime. Thanks.Sincerely,Phil Geddes
