No landing lights;

Featured Replies

When I turn on my landing lights at night I don't see them from my main panel view, or the new updated VFR view. What controls wether you see them or not? I'm using the POSKY model with the PIC panel and I used Lee's tutorial to do it. Anything else works fine though.Any ideas?Many Thanks,

As for the VFR landing panels you are correct, there are none, well almost! Just look back a couple of posts. As to the Posky aircraft and the Default panel I have no clue. It works for everyone I know that uses both. A good way of checking is to first switch to the "spot view" and see if you can see them that way first. I think its Shift+L or just L, well one of those!Best Wishes,Randy Smith

yep, they show on the exterior model and light the tarmac but I can't see it from inside the cockpit. What controls this; can I edit it? (fix it)

Thats the hundred dollar question! No really, me and Phil have been trying like hell to get those lights working. I don't have much hair left to pull though. Randy

Are you saying you cannot get landing lights in the VFR/landing views?I had them working in mine. I did it by having the main and landing panels use the SAME view (i.e., forward). I switched panels by having my XML do the equivalent of shift-1 and shift-2 to remove the main panel and shift-8 to add the landing panel. The XML also adjusted the zoom in the process. My landing panel was in Window07.Do landing lights not work on the minipanel view?Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Hi Lee,The landing light don't show in any view. I don't follow you either "XML?" Could you post some very basic instructions on how I can edit my panel.cfg? (If that's what I'm meant to do)I can only see the landing lights in the exterior views.Many Thanks,

If you do not get landing lights from the normal main view, and you are using a POSKY v3 (gmax) visual model, then I don't know what is wrong.I was mainly addressing the authors of the latest VFR/landing views. I cannot explain XML gauges here in this thread. I think Randy knows what I am talking about.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Hi,Landing lignts/rain drops work fine using the minipanel view.Pat

Yep. The landing lights work fine if you are using Lee's VFR panel and a Posky 300v. They do also work with the minipanel view and I did switch mine onto a regular window {not fixed window} and also have landing lights and rain. BUT, The zoom and seat height for the minipanel and for my VFR is really off. The zoom is @ 1.0 and the panel faces upward and there is no way that I know of to fix this. I have got Lee's xml to switch Phil's panel but even though it is on fixed window 36 with correct view settings, once it pops up it goes back to that 1.0 zoom and messed up seat height. Now you can use "shift enter" to get the panel looking downward BUT this will effect the MAIN PANEL so I think for now I will stick to the way we have had it. Best Wishes,Randy
