I've been away from Flightsimulator for several months and just recently I decided to get back into it. I own the PIC 767 and I read somewhere in the past that the default skin is a real frame rate killer - can anyone instruct me how to replace the PIC 767 skin? Also, is there a program available that's either shareware or payware that I can use for flight planning with the PIC 767? Is there anything available that will spit out airline routes? Thanks.

Yes you can download a Open Sky i.e. "Posky" 767-300/200 from their web site and use the "Posky Merge" provided here: http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...ewmode=threaded Read the instructions!!! Better yet just extract the Merge file to your desktop and RENAME it to the Aircraft you want to use. I have a couple so here is my American Posky merge folder name:"B763 PIC POSKY3 American Airlines" Then when you have downloaded the Posky Aircraft of your choice unzip it also to your desktop. Open it and COPY the MODEL & TEXTURE folders over to your NEW PIC POSKY MERGE FOLDER. Now open that POSKY PIC MERGE FOLDER up and hit the "setup" ms-dos Batch File. It will pop up a Dos box, just hit any key to close. Now go to the "aircraft cfg" within the same folder your in and change these entries, here is mine:[fltsim.0]title=American Airlines 767-300ER<***************I changed heresim=767 Pilot in Command Wilco Publishingmodel=panel=sound=texture=kb_checklists=767PIC_CHECKkb_reference=767PIC_REFatc_id=940<***************************Here I changedatc_airline=speed birdatc_flight_number=940<****************If you likeatc_heavy=1visual_damage=1ui_type=767-300ERui_manufacturer=Boeing<****************Just like thisui_variation=American Airlines<*********Here I changeddescription=767 Pilot in Command panelProject Opensky Boeing 767-300ERnVersion 2002.4.5nnModel Designersn Mitsushi Yutakan Hiroshi Igami And you can now choose it from the aircraft menu under: "Aircraft Manufacturer" BOEING "Aircraft Model" 767-300ER. "Variation" Whatever you have installed in this case "American Airlines". You can do this for each aircraft that you want , just repeat the process for each aircraft you install. Lee has a way to put them into ONE FOLDER but it might seem to difficult for some so this way works just fine. As for the "Flight Planning Program thats Freeware", FS BUILD is the way to go. Just do a search in the files area and you will find it. If you want a better one that you must pay for try this one: FSNavigator 4.5 Best Wishes, Randy Smith
